BATON ROUGE, La.(NBC33) — Orleans - New Orleans police have a man in custody in connection to an early Monday morning killing in the French Quarter. Jamal Claude, 27 was arrested and charged with second degree murder. Police say a man was shot multiple times in the 300 block of North Peters Street at 3:30 and died at the scene. Police say they think the killing happened because of an argument between the victim and Claude early Monday morning at a New Orleans lounge.
De Soto - This 42 year old is locked up, accused of stabbing two children over the weekend. Police say they found a 17 year old boy and a 14 year old girl at a home with stab wounds. They're expected to be okay. Investigators say 42 year old Darron Jack attacked the teenagers over loud music. The teens' mother allegedly had asked jack to turn his music down and he became enraged toward her, and when the children stepped in between, he stabbed them. He was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated battery. He has been booked into the Shreveport city jail.
East Baton Rouge - A Baton Rouge teen is in hot water, that after we're told he damaged property at Mckinley High. It happened around five Sunday morning. We're the 16 year old drove a SUV onto the schools track, and then lost control. We're told the SUV clipped a pole, took out some fence, and then crashed into the bleachers. The boys parents decided to press charges. He's charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
