ORLEANS - Hornets number one draft choice Anthony Davis is off to a bad start in the big easy after he sprained his ankle while working out on Saturday at the Hornets practice facility. His status to resume workouts is day to day. An evaluation of his availability to compete for a spot on Team USA will be made later in the week.

Livingston - Detectives in the newly formed Burglary Division of the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office arrested two men in connection with the theft of aluminum from Ferrara Fire Apparatus in Holden. 32 year old Mark Dwayne Hoyt, Sr. of Holden, and 30 year old Richard Sterling Young, Jr. of Holden, are charged with 1 count each of Felony Theft. Detectives say a large amount of aluminum was taken from Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc. on June 28. The value of the aluminum taken was estimated at around $3,000.00.

Lafayette - a Lafayette voice coach is your new Baton Rouge idol. She's 24 year old Katherine Boudain! Boudain beat out dozens of talented singers to win FOX 44, our sister station’s Baton Rouge idol contest. The 24 year old Acadiana school for the arts teacher will get a guaranteed audition in front of idol's producers in New Orleans.
