In Vermillion Parish, one person is dead after a helicopter crash near Intracoastal City. According to the Sheriff's Office , it happened around 8:30 this morning. the pilot's name hasn't been released. There’s also been no word yet on what may have caused the crash, but we're told there was heavy fog in the area. The investigation is ongoing.

In East Baton Rouge Parish, sheriff’s deputies are looking for two men who broke into the Target store on Millerville. It happened late last month. Deputies say the men smashed a front window and stole eight ipads, worth an estimated $3,000. The men were caught on video leaving in a silver colored GMC Acadia or Envoy with a sunroof. Call Crime Stoppers at 344-Stop if you can help deputies find the people responsible.

In Lafayette parish, the Ragin’ Cajuns take the field for their big homecoming game this Saturday against the Tulane Green Wave. But after quarterback Blaine Gautier broke two bones in his throwing hand last Saturday, the Cajuns will start a new quarterback, Baton Rouge native Terrance Broadway. Broadway graduated from Capitol High School and originally signed with the University of Houston, but transferred to UL and sat out last season. Now, the talented 6-2, sophomore will start in this Saturday's Homecoming game.
