Rapides - The New Light Baptist Church in Pineville is quiet tonight. There is no ringing of its bell. That's because someone stole the 400 pound symbol that's been part of the church for more than 100 years. Members of the church say they don't know who would have the audacity to steal it, especially when they're stealing from a church. The man, who says he saw the truck with the bell in the back, says there were two men inside, and the truck was described as a grey, Ford F-150 extended cab with green waves painted on the sides. Police in Pineville are still investigating.

East Baton Rouge - A Baton Rouge home is a total loss after fire ripped through the place. It happened just after 3:30 this morning on the 48 hundred block of Cadillac. When firefighters got there most of the home was already up in flames. No one was home when the blaze started. The cause is still under investigation.

Lafayette - From now thru Sunday evening, the streets of downtown Lafayette will be filled with the sights and sounds of “Festival International”. It all started tonight with the music of Terry and the Zydeco Bad Boys! Over 350 thousand music lovers are expected to head to the hub city these next few days for this huge event. We're talking all kinds of music, great food, and it's all free!

That's a look at what's happening - parish by parish.
