Ever since Earl K Long closed its doors to the public, the new 24-hour clinic located just feet away has helped over 7,000 people.

The LSU Baton Rouge Urgent Care Clinic, run by Our Lady of the Lake, opened its doors on April 15, 2013. This morning the center was blessed and dedicated by the Bishop of Baton Rouge as well as Mayor Kip Holden.

The clinic is proud to get their patients moving through faster than any other ER, with an average time of 80-minutes.

Our Lady of the Lake Superintendant says the center would not have succeeded without the help of others in the area.

"Networks of clinics are so vitally important, so were able to make sure we have good primary care physicians, specialty care, a surgical facility - all those things combined makes that a great relationship,"

The LSU Health Baton Rouge Urgent Care Center is located on Airline Highway about a block away from Earl K Long Medical Center.
