Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — If you plan on heading downtown for any of the events taking place tomorrow, prepare to encounter traffic.
With events like an Elton John concert and a performance by Anthony Hamilton, there will be over 13,000 people flocking to the Capitol City this weekend.
The Downtown Development District is encouraging people to take alternate routes. They recommend avoiding Government Street all together, and maybe leaving a little earlier.
"We also have a trolley system that will run from 6:00 p.m. to midnight on Friday night,” stated David Rhorer with the DDD. “It will go up all the streets, and at 4th street, you can catch the trolley and go to the River Center."
All the events this weekend will be capped off with a sunrise service for Easter Sunday.
