Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Lunchtime commuters in downtown Baton Rouge today saw an odd sight, and the group behind it says it's to prove a point.
The 10-foot long inflatable dog crammed inside a bun was put on display by Mercy for Animals, a non-profit organization that is hoping to call attention to the way farm animals are treated before they're slaughtered.
The demonstration is part of a new campaign which includes billboards and bus ads.
The display was setup on South River Road during the height of the lunchtime rush downtown.
