Ascension Parish, La (NBC33) — Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez says he wants to convert an old hospital complex into a parish government complex.

Martinez wants to convert the Gonzales-Ascension hospital, land, and buildings into a one-stop spot for the Ascension Parish government.

Last week, the parish council agreed to consider the move to the hospital. No word on when a decision will be made.
