NEW ROADS, La (NBC 33) — Citizens has mixed feelings towards the guilty verdict levelled against former New Roads Mayor Tommy Nelson.  Jesse Lagrone says he isn't surprised, "He deserved it. Honestly he did. I never liked him to begin with."

Other citizens NBC 33 spoke with say they were surprised by the verdict and believe Nelson isn't the type of man to commit the crimes for which he was convicted.
