St. Tammany Parish, La (NBC33) — New information has been released regarding last week's fish kill in St. Tammany Parish.

Concerns over well quality is prompting state officials to test private wells along the Pearl River. Samples are being taken to see if the water is safe to drink. One well is being tested in each affected parish.

They'll be collected over the next two days, then evaluated by the Department of Health and Hospitals this weekend.

Results will be available early next week.
