WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA (NBC33) — The Louisiana State Police reports that I-10 eastbound between the Atchfalaya Basin and Baton Rouge has multiple crashes and severe traffic congestion.

The incidents occured shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9. 

Officials say motorists should use US 190 to Baton Rouge as an alternate route.
