Over 100 jobs are coming to Denham Springs, says Governor Bobby Jindal in a press conference this afternoon. The jobs come from CAP Technologies, which is a metal coatings facility.

CAP Technologies is making an $8.1 million capital investment in the facility. That will create 43 news jobs with an average salary of $52,000 a year, plus benefits. Indirectly, 60 new jobs will be created in the area.

“CAP Technologies is exactly the type of company we want to help cultivate in Louisiana in order to diversify our economy and create more jobs for our people so they don’t have to leave home to pursue their dreams,” Governor Jindal said. “With the help of our research and development tax credit and business-friendly environment, CAP Technologies has literally grown from an idea at a university to a company that is now creating good-paying jobs for our people.”

CAP Technologies will launch production in Denham Springs, La., in a new 50,000-square-foot facility dedicated to cleaning and coating metals using the company’s environmentally friendly patented process that lends CAP its name: Cathodic Atmospheric Plasma. For more information, visit
