DONALDSONVILLE, LA — A 45-year-old Donaldsonville man has been reported missing according to Major Kevin Hanna of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Edgar Cedotal was last seen at a store in Assumption Parish on February 14 where a family member held a brief conversation with him. On February 15 another family spoke to him by phone. This was the last any family members have seen or spoken with him.
Cedotal is a mechanic by trade and had a customer’s vehicle from Assumption Parish that he was to work on. At the end of February, after Cedotal failed to return the customer’s vehicle, it was found abandoned and broken down behind the levee in Darrow. The vehicle was towed by Assumption authorities back to the owner.
Cedotal’s family advised that he has gone missing in the past for two to three weeks at a time but never this long. The family reported Cedotal missing on April 4 after the vehicle he was in possession of was found behind the levee.
Cedotal has a large scar on the right side of his face as well as several tattoos to include a spade on his chest with “Donna” written in it, a dagger on one of his arms, and a picture of the state of Louisiana on his shoulder with “Ain’t No Sunshine.”
Anyone with information or whereabouts of Cedotal are urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at (225) 621-INFO (4636) or by texting 847411 to our anonymous tip line from any cellular device or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP (7867).
