LSU officials react on player's charges
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Today, LSU officials reacted to today's charges on the football players.
Lots of officials told NBC33 News they wish it was a different story, and that they'll wait for it all to play out.
Chancellor Mike Martin and Athletic Director Joe Alleva say the consequences placed on the players are understandable, and the university, and the football program have to move forward.
"No matter what it's always diappointing, it's always disappointing when student athletes don't behave up to the standards that you would like them to behave to, and that's what that this situation is we have right now, and we still have to let the justice system do their job." - said LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva
"People are innocent until proven guilty, and we're gonna continue to stick to that, I know them to be uniformly good people but they've gotten themselves into an interesting situation, and we'll see what the legal process does." - said LSU Chancellor Michael Martin
