LSU Chancellor takes new position at Colorado State University
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — LSU Chancellor Dr. Michael Martin has been appointed the new chancellor of Colorado State University.
The Board of Governors at CSU unanimously voted to appoint Martin earlier this afternoon. Officials with Colorado State say the five year contract with a base salary of $375 thousand a year was approved this morning.
Martin says the budget cuts at LSU are an “indirect reason for his decision to leave.”
Martin went on to say he'll stay at LSU until August 2012.
