LSU alumni Lod Cook honored

The LSU Alumni Association took time on October 7 to honor a major benefactor.

It’s the 10th anniversary of the Lod and Carole Cook Conference Center, which is home of the Cook Hotel.

Mayor Kip Holden honored Cook today, and even gave him a key to the city.

It's something Cook says never even started to cross his mind when he got to LSU, or the years after.

“Everybody has their dreams, but you don't dream this big sometimes,” stated Cook. “I arrived at LSU a scared 17 year-old and never expected to end up with a key to the city, that's for sure.”

In his time since LSU, Cook's worked with presidents Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and Clinton.
