LSU accepting entries for ‘2014 20”x20”x20”: A National Compact Competition and Exhibit’

BATON ROUGE, LA — The LSU Student Union Art Advisory Committee at Louisiana State University is now accepting entries for their annual 20”x20”x20”: A National Compact Competition.
The deadline to submit CD entries is Thursday, September 26. This all-media competition is open to all artists residing in the United States.
This year’s juror will award $6000 in cash prizes, with a $1,800 prize for the first place winner, $1,200 for second place, $900 for third place, and five honorable mentions at $400 each. Juror is to be determined.
The selected exhibit will be on view from January 12 to February 14, 2014 in the LSU Student Union Art Gallery at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge.
A non-refundable $35 entry fee is required. Artists may submit up to three entries. Two-dimensional works on paper, excluding the mat and frame, cannot exceed 20 inches for any one dimension. Sculptures may have one side exceeding 20 inches in length or width but overall weight cannot exceed 70 pounds.
