BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Louisiana ranks at the very bottom of the list of pay for women, according to the 2011 American Community Survey by the US Census compiled by Forbes.
In Opelousas, the median income for women working full time is just under $22,000 a year.
The best city for a woman to bring home a paycheck? Our nation's capitol, where the average salary is 3 times that of Opelousas at $57,000.
