Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle came together today to pray.
On the National Day of Prayer, they're asking for guidance in making laws.
Governor Bobby Jindal, senators and representatives all came together with one goal in mind.
Senator Sharon Weston-Broome said that she believes the National Day of Prayer brings the nation closer.
“It unites America around the focus of prayer and the need for prayer for our nation, our families, our communities and our businesses,” stated Broome. “It brings everyone in the spirit of one accord, focusing on prayer.”
This is the sixty-second year the country's observed the Day of Prayer.
