UPDATE: Officials say Derrick "Blake Speed has been located and he is unharmed.

ORIGINAL: Police are searching for a man who went missing from his home in Denham Springs on Saturday, June 1.

Derrick "Blake" Speed left his home some time on Saturday, supposedly on foot. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue T-shirt. He is 5'7" tall and weighs about 145 lbs.

Speed is 27-years-old and has a non-violent mental history. He is in need of daily medication and may become unstable without it. 

His father, City Treasurer Clarence Speed, is currently hospitalized in Houston, TX for a bone marrow transplant. Speed may be possibly in the Denham Springs/Baton Rouge area or could be trying to travel to Houston to be with this father.
