BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Triumph Kitchen, Baton Rouge's newest non-profit created to help inner city youth, is asking for your help.
The group is running an online fundraising campaign, but they're still a little short of their goal. Triumph kitchen takes at-risk youth and teaches them the skills it takes to work in the restaurant industry. The dollars people donate will go towards building and outfitting the kitchen.
"If all 11,00 people who have shared and liked that post in the last two weeks would have given $5.00, we'd have been there already, so every little bit counts,” said Chris Wadsworth, Triumph Kitchen creator.
Triumph Kitchen is a program geared towards inner-city kids between the ages of sixteen and twenty-two. The creators are hoping to give kids a purpose and a career path.
