Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) —
Two Louisiana energy companies are looking to make a big switch in the next couple of years.
Entergy-Louisiana and Entergy-Gulf States Louisiana filed a joint application to partner with the Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator (MISO).
The application would give MISO control of the energy companies' transmission facilities by December 2013.
Research shows that joining MISO would save their customers anywhere from $430-$575 million collectively in about nine years.
