Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Remington College is continuing their efforts to help supply local hospitals with blood. After the recent plant explosions, the Three Lives blood drive is looking for anyone and everyone to come out.
Even though they do seek out minority donors because their blood contains antigens specific to those who have sickle-cell disease, everyone's welcomed.
"I'm definitely doing my part, especially being a nurse as well,” stated donor Sarah Dore. “My good friend Zach Green passed away in the explosion, so to be able to help out people that he worked with makes me feel better."
For every pint of blood they receive, they can save three lives.
