Local business expo goes online - mostly
Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — For the first time in 29 years, the Biz Tech Expo is going online.
The online expo will feature more than 50 companies, including everything from tech companies and hotels to banks and media companies.
Except for two special live events Wednesday, the entire expo is being held online this year. It will also feature live and taped seminars on a variety of topics.
Going online was a necessary step says Business Report Vice President Kelly Hurtado.
"This is the future of trade shows,” stated Hurtado. “This is a way for people to connect more over the next 100 hours, and for businesses to connect effectively with one another."
The expo runs until Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. The expo will also feature the top 100 companies at a luncheon at the Crowne Plaza tomorrow at 11 a.m.
