Baton Rouge, La. — A local business caught fire yesterday just past nine in the evening. When firefighters arrived to the scene the fire had engulfed the roof.
The business, Scotlandville Store, received extensive damages to the roof but the fire was contained to the attic. The rest of the store received extensive smoke and water damage.
All employees escaped unharmed. Damages to the store are estimated to be around $90,000. The cause of the fire is undetermined and is under investigation. Investigators do not suspect foul play but believe the fire did start in the attic.
