Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The metro council will tackle a proposed moratorium on liquor licenses.

There's already a 90 day ban in old South Baton Rouge. Now, other council members want to expand the proposal to their districts.

Those for the move say it will help bring down crime and study if another liquor store is needed in the area, but critics say the proposal stunts growth.
