Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — NBC33 has an update concerning the bar fight that allegedly involved several LSU football players on Friday, August 19.
Lewis Unglesby, the attorney for Jordan Jefferson, tells NBC33 News that the he has contacted LSU about getting the senior quarterback back on the field.
But, the university wants the attorney to go through their lawyers. Unglesby tells us that he would rather just meet face to face with athletic director Joe Alleva.
He also says he is going to do as they as ask and gather the information LSU is requesting. Unglesby says in doing that, it will only add time to an already long process.
"Where we are now is stopped and we'll be stopped for a long time,” said Unglesby. “If we rely on the legal system, the legal system is going to work on its own schedule as it does."
