ASCENSION PARISH, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: The Louisiana State Police report that La-73 is now open. 

ORIGINAL: La-73 North and South is closed to traffic between US-61 (Airline Hwy) and La-42 in Ascension Parish, due to an accident involving a cement truck.

This closure is expected to last for 2 hours or more in order to offload the cement truck.

State Police told NBC33 News the crash involves a cement truck and two vehicles.  The cement truck overturned.  We're told one person in one of the cars has been critically injured.
