One young man is helping animals in need across Baton Rouge.

Ethan St. Amant donated 500 dollars today to yelp, an organization devoted to finding permanent homes for strays.
He raised the money on his own by asking for donations, instead of gifts for his birthday and christmas.
Ethan's mom says she couldn't be prouder.
"He's inspired friends of mine from all around the country to make donations, to help out, to donate supplies to their local rescues, so i am just so proud of him." - Said Ethan's mom, Julia St.Amant
