Hope to keep CATS running

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) - — The CEO of the Capital Area Transit System says he's hopeful a mix of grants and a private donation will keep the busses rolling past October. That's when the system was set to run out of money and stop service.
James Marshall says his staff has found a different mix of funding for CATS. A private entity is also set to donate 500 thousand dollars. That entity hasn't been identified.
CATS has a $1.5 million dollar deficit. Marshall says CATS hasn't been able to plug the deficit.
