Home destroyed by early morning blaze that started in attic

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A Baton Rouge home was destroyed by fire early this morning. Fortunately there were no injuries.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department reports that the blaze broke out shortly before 6:00 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8. We’re told 70 percent of the home on Jefferson Avenue was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.
Investigators believe the fire began in the attic near a fan. However, they are still working to isolate the exact cause.
There was an estimated $110,000 of damage.
