Holden brings holiday cheer to OLOL patients
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Patients at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital received a pick me up today from some very special guests.
Mayor-President Kip Holden helped pass out some holiday cheer at the hospital. He was joined by Gwen Graves of Raising Cane's and "Cane II" the chain's mascot. More than 150 toys were also passed out to the children. It's an event that's very dear to the Mayor-President's heart, "Just to see them. Just to give them reassurance. Just to bring them a cheer with a doll and a dog and those things. Those are all very special. There's no price you can put on what we did today."
This is the second year the Mayor-President has taken part in the event.
