People at Holy Family Catholic School in Port Allen got to know more of their community Saturday with their annual Jambalaya Cook Off.

This is the seventh year that the athletic program at Holy Family Catholic School has put together this annual cook off and fundraiser.

This year they featured a Fun-Run,a volleyball tournament, spacewalks for the kids, and even a guest judge for the Jambalya, NBC 33's own Matt Boudreaux.

Coach Bart Saia says events like these are just a great way of having fun and a little competition with your community.

"You've seen it all morning, guys going back and forth to each pot, hey what's cookin over there, it's a fun way to incorporate fellowship, and fun and food, all in one way," said Saia.
