Head of state employee health insurance group to resign after less than two months
Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The Chief Executive Officer of the Health Insurance Office for State Employees and Retirees is resigning later this month.
Scott Kipper had been on the job for less than two months.
His resignation comes as Governor Bobby Jindal faces criticism for his proposal to hire an outside contractor to run segments of the operation.
A spokesman for Jindal's Division of Administration said today that Kipper will resign on June 24.
