Harp Rally at Runnels takes place on March 24

Baton Rouge, La — Runnels School will host the annual statewide Louisiana Music Teachers Association Harp Rally on Saturday, March 24, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Classroom Building on the Harrell's Ferry Rd. campus.
At the Rally, more than 40 harp students from around the state will be judged in the areas of harp performance, sight reading, and theory. Organizing the event is Runnels Harp Choir Director Rebecca Todaro, with classical harpist Megan Landfair from Indiana as guest adjudicator.
An accomplished soloist and orchestral player, Ms. Landfair has received awards and honors in many national competitions, including the Advanced and Young Professional divisions of the American Harp Society National competitions and Indiana University's 11th Spain and Latin American Music Competition. Currently a PhD candidate in Harp Performance at the University of Indiana, she works with harp students in a private teaching studio and performs with regional orchestras in the Midwest.
Ms. Landfair will conduct guest clinics for harp students at Runnels during their class periods on Thursday, March 22, and Friday, March 23.
