'Geaux Wider' project announces I-10 lane closures

I-10 will experience lane closures during the rest of the week.

The closures are part as of the Geaux Wider initiative, which will widen both I-10 and I-12 in East Baton Rouge and Livingston Parishes. 

Here is an schedule of the closures:

Wednesday, July 24
• 9:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m.: The eastbound I-10 right and middle lanes will be closed from Pecue through the Kansas City Southern Bridge.

Thursday, July 25
• 9:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m.: The eastbound I-10 left and middle lanes will be closed from Pecue through the Kansas City Southern Bridge. 

Friday, July 26
• 9:00 p.m. - 9:00 a.m.: The eastbound I-10 left lane will be closed from the Wards Creek Bridge through the Kansas City Southern Bridge. The westbound I-10 left lane will be closed from the Highland on ramp through the Kansas City Southern Bridge.

Saturday, July 27
• 9:00 p.m. - 9:00 a.m.: The eastbound I-10 right lane will be closed from the Wards Creek Bridge through the Kansas City Southern Bridge. The westbound I-10 right lane will be closed from the Highland on ramp through the Kansas City Southern Bridge.

The Louisiana DOTD Geaux Wider program is a multi-year construction initiative designed to increase capacity, improve safety and enhance mobility on Interstates 10 and 12 in East Baton Rouge and Livingston Parishes.
