Average retail gasoline prices in Baton Rouge have fallen 3.9 cents per gallon in the past week.

According to GasBuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of gas in the Capitol City is $3.46.

Prices were 27.7 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 18.1 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

The national average of a gallon of gas sits at $3.64.

Even though the nation price is higher than local numbers, it has decreased 9.5 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 21.9 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.
