"Scott and I were the best of friends," says Bob Lee. For Bob Lee losing LIvingston Parish  firefighter Scott Osenenko was like losing a part of himself. Osenenko died while rescuing a family of five from their burning trailer. Lee still can't believe his best friend is gone, "I'm rather somber to say the very least."

Today, friends and family of the firefighter gathered together at the Revival Baptist Church in Walker to pay tribute to their hero with a full honors funeral ceremony. They remember him as someone who lit up a room, "Scott was a very funny man. When he would walk into a room, people would smile. His smile was somewhat would catch on to everybody," says Lee.

And Bob knows what he'll miss most about his friend, "Everything. Companionship, commaraderie, the business aspect of it. The fact that we did everything together, vacations and we're like a family," says Lee.

A family who had a vacation planned for just a couple of weeks from now, "He and I made this trip to Cozumel, Mexico in mid to early April 2011. We spent a week together. Scott loved the beaches. We had another trip planned for the end of the year," says Lee.

Though they won't be able to take that trip now, he knows his friend will never be forgotten, "Everybody loved Scott."

I came all the way from Pointe Coupee Fire Dist. 3 out of respect for Mr. Scotty! I know for myself that they had a great turnout of fire trucks from near by towns! I was included in the persession and they had atleast 75 trucks! It was a beautiful seen and ride!
