PORT ALLEN, LA (NBC33) — Bradley Suntich and Tyler McClain will be on their way back to Florida to face murder charges after the pair waived extradition in a West Baton Rouge Parish courtroom.
After the hearing, McClain told NBC33 News, "I didn't mean to kill her". He and Suntich killed 53 year-old Laura Hill, injured her 25 year-old daughter, stole their car and drove off.
"We didn't have a plan - we just started driving.", said McClain.
Suntich was very quiet with us, but told McClain he was concerned about the death penalty.
Authorities in Florida have ten days to come to West Baton Rouge to bring the pair back to Florida. The drug and traffic charges they're facing in Louisiana will disappear when the statute of limitations runs out.
The suspects are charged with First Degree Murder, Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery, and Grand Theft Auto in Florida.
