BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — In Ascension Parish, former LSU running back Charles Edward Scott has pled not guilty to one count of Sexual Battery of an 18-year-old woman.

The crime was thought to have happened last year.

Scott was arrested in November on a count of Simple Rape, but had the charges reduced. Now Scott will go to trial.

His attorney says the date for that trial will be set in the next several months.
