Today, NBC33’s Tammi Arender was invited to talk to some students at Denham Springs Elementary.

Mrs. Betsy Corley's second graders sent her 'Flat Stanley'. He's a little guy who travels where ever the students want him to go. They wanted Flat Stanley to come spend a few weeks at NBC33 and learn what it takes to be in the news business.

She drove Flat Stanley back home today, and answered the kid's questions about what you have to do to be a news reporter or anchor.

Some of the kids there said that when they grow up, they’d like to work in the news business.

"I want to be a news reporter because it seems fun", said student Matilyn Theriot.

"It's fun talking to people in different countries,” stated second grader Caden Gettys. “I just want to be on TV."

The students were bright and well-mannered; Mrs. Corley's done an outstanding job.

The class said Flat Stanley's next adventure will take him all the way to Hawaii.

Yay Matilyn!! You did such a good job on your first interview on tv. I'm so proud of you. Maybe we can watch this when you get older if you still want to be a news reporter then and remember your first time on the news. Love you, Mommy

thank you mommy.

She's a natural! Go, Matilyn!
Love you, too!
