ST. MARTIN PARISH, LA (NBC33) — Fire investigators are currently working to determine why an 18-wheeler caught on fire in the late morning on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

A representative with the Louisiana State Police confirms that the 18-wheeler was not involved in a crash, but it did catch fire. It happened at roughly 11:00 p.m. near milepost 126 on I-10 in St. Martin Parish.

Major traffic delays were experienced due to the removal of the vehicle.
