BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Some places in Baton Rouge have seen six inches of rain in the last 24 hours, and all that moisture has made the the ground very soft.
That's one of the reasons downed trees are being reported all across the the NBC33 viewing area.
A huge tree went down just after 1:30 p.m. on the 200 block of East Johnson, close to LSU.
The tree fell right on top of two cars, totalling both vehicles. Baton Rouge Police tell NBC33 news no one was inside when the tree came down.
