BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A fire at a home on Landwood Drive happened just before 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22.

We’re told the fire started due to an electrical malfunction located around the light switch.

Two people were inside the home when the fire started, but both escaped safely.

Damage to the home was primarily located in the kitchen, but there was significant smoke damage throughout the home.
