Elderly Shreveport man charged after allegedly shooting neighbor's poodle

An elderly Shreveport man was booked in the city jail after he reportedly committed a heartless crime. According to the Shreveport Police Department, Clarence Dunivan, 75, shot and killed his neighbor's pet on Saturday.

Authorities say Dunivan killed the poodle after it ran onto his property on the 500 block of Woodmere Drive.

Officials could not say what led to the shooting.

Dunivan was arrested and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.
