Alexandria, La (NBC33) — Former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards is hitting the book tour trail, stopping in central Louisiana today.

Edwards, flanked by his third wife Trina, came to the Alexandria Rotary Club in city hall to talk about his post-gubernatorial and post-prison life.

To a packed audience, Edwards discussed his achievements while in office, his time in prison for racketeering which he believes was unjustified, how he's moved on since his sentence and about his new marriage.
