BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) — An East Baton Rouge Sheriff's deputy is recovering after being involved in a car crash on Friday night. Deputies tell us he was driving to an emergency call at the intersection of Highland Road and Siegan.

That's when something ran into the road. The deputy swerved and lost control of his vehicle. The car flipped.

A spokesperson for EBRSO says the deputy's injuries were non life threatening.
