METAIRIE, LA (WDSU) — Drivers were warned that unicorns and zombies may be in the area on Bonnabel Boulevard Friday morning via a construction sign.

A construction sign read "Unicorn Xing Ahead" on Bonnabel Boulevard between West Esplanade Avenue and Veterans Memorial Boulevard at about 9 a.m. The sign was changed at about noon and read "Cautiom Zombies Ahead." Presumably, the word "cautiom" was meant to be "caution."

The sign faced traffic heading southbound on Bonnabel Boulevard.

Share The mythical one-horned animal nor zombies were seen by WDSU crews at the scene.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development said they weren't aware of the sign.
