The driver of an 18-wheeler was cited for Careless Operation after he caused a crash that shut down I-110 for roughly 6 hours.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that eight vehicles sustained damage during the crash that happened on Monday, August 5 at roughly 10:40 a.m.

The driver of the 18-wheeler, Daymeon Bradford, 36, of Houston, was traveling down I-110 when he lost control of his truck near the 22nd Street exit. The truck flipped over, causing his load of wooden pallets to spill out across both lanes on the Interstate.

The vehicles impacted were damaged by the debris. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured.

Bradford, who was hauling for Fasttrac Transportation of Houston, was taken to a local hospital by EMS. He sustained minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
