Baton Rouge, La — Several streets in the downtown area will close to traffic over the next two weeks to film the movie “Search Party,” a comedy produced by Universal Pictures and Gold Circle Films.
The film is directed by Scot Armstrong, who is best known for writing hits like “Hangover,” “Elf,” and “Old School.”
“Search Party” stars T.J. Miller, Adam Pally and Thomas Middleditch in a comedy about two friends who embark on a mission to reunite their pal with the woman he was going to marry.
“We welcome our friends from Gold Circle and Universal back to Baton Rouge,” Mayor Melvin L. “Kip” Holden said. “The last film that they made here was ‘Pitch Perfect,’ a musical comedy that cost $17 million and grossed more than $112 million at the box office.
